Year 11 Summer work

Over summer you will need to complete the following summer work to help prepare you for year 11. You will either need to print out the worksheets and complete them or write the answers on paper.

If you are significantly behind your target (two or more grades behind) you will be asked by your teacher to complete the summer catch-up work. You will be asked to bring in evidence that you have completed this work. 

You must watch the videos and then complete the corresponding task. All tasks need to be complete and then brought in the first week back. 

This work will help improve your understanding for the next recall assessment which will happen in the first half term (October). 

You can complete it all in one go or do one section each week. For some of you it is compulsory, if you want to complete it optionally that would help improve your grade in the next assessment as well.

Higher GCSE: Circle Theorems

For your GCSE exam you will need to remember these circle theorems.

When answering circle theorem problems, it is extremely important to use the correct vocabulary. The examiners are looking for certain key words, for example circumference, center, cyclic quadratic etc. Using the vocabulary in the post above from Corbett maths is important.
